Call 4 Art - June Art Popup

What:

OPAM is looking for art to display in a popup gallery show that invokes the feeling of awe and wonder. Event Info Here.

We're looking for art pieces in various mediums from local PDX artists. Show us what you got!

When:

Show starts June 1, 5-9pm and runs through June. Operating schedule to be updated closer to event.

Important Dates:

  • Call For Art:  Application ends May 15th
  • Delivery date: May 26th
  • Event Opening: Opening June 1st 5pm – 9pm
  • Event Length: Event runs through June
  • Pick up date:  July 1st & 2nd

 

Where:

OTCA (Old Town Community Association) Gallery, 23 NW 4th Ave. Portland, OR 97209

Why:

Participate in with a community of creatives who are trying to make it easier for you to build what you're passionate about and showcase it to others! We are a group  of creatives interconnecting our community through art and making creatively more accessible.

This is also an opportunity to sell additional merchandise and artwork.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit up to 5 images, sketches, or videos of your completed or proposed artwork along with a brief description of the sensory elements and techniques used, power and space requirements.
  • Include a 250-word artist statement describing your approach to multi-sensory art.
  • Provide links to your website or social media accounts.
  • Submit all materials via form by May 8th.
  • If your art can be completed by May 26th, we encourage you to apply. Small stipends can be given for materials and fabrication to complete work.
  • Email OPAM with any questions

Details

The Open-air People's Art Museum invites submissions from creatives living and working in the Pacific Northwest. All disciplines are welcome.
Creatives are responsible for shipping their work to and from the gallery, but modest stipends may be provided to artist who come and host during gallery hours and talk about their work and gallery event.

OPAM is particularly interested in proposals from artists whose work is both visually and critically engaging and artists from traditionally or currently underserved communities including (but not limited to) LGBTQA+ and communities of color. Individual creatives and creative teams are encouraged to submit proposals for the June 1-30 show. Deadline for Submission is May 8, 2023. See above for important dates.
